Three products we're excited about this season

Hello to all! My name is Rowan and I’m the newest person in sales at G&O! I’ve met lots of customers in my first two months, but I wanted to take the opportunity to introduce myself. I’ve been a loyal customer for many years, and I’m so excited to now be working at my favorite bike shop in the city. I’ve been pedaling around Seattle for about 10 years now. I’m a rider of Bromptons and vintage road bikes - and an HSD, coming in the new year!.

As a long-time bike outfitting aficionado, being surrounded by super fancy bike stuff at work is pretty much the best thing ever. I love talking with fellow riders about optimizing their bikes and getting just the right setup for their needs. If you want to chat about the coolest new bags or cargo hauling gear, swing on by and let’s brainstorm!
As we head into the winter gifting season, I wanted to shine a light on three products in the shop that I’m the most excited about.

Lumos Matrix Helmet

$250, available in black and white

I first heard about Lumos helmets during their original Kickstarter days, so it’s awesome to get to see them in person. This helmet is positively futuristic with its streamlined design and bright light displays. It connects to both a turn signal remote for your handlebars and a smartphone app (Android and iOS) to give you very conspicuous turn signals on both the front and the back of the helmet. There’s even an automatic brake light to warn traffic behind you that you’re making a hard stop. But the coolest thing about the Matrix is that you can customize the 7x11 RGB LED rear panel using the app with your choice of eye-catching display. It’s a worthwhile upgrade for your commute. Safety made fun!

Knog Plus Headlight and Taillight

$20 each

If you have $20 to spend on upgrading safety for your bike, this is my top recommendation. These lights are lightweight, extremely bright, and super convenient. Each has 5 modes, they’re waterproof, and have nice long runtimes. Take them inside at work or at home and pop them into a USB port to charge them up. They have a couple of sizes of silicone loop for mounting on a frame tube, or you can clip them onto your pannier, backpack, or jacket. A must-have for the Big Dark of the coming winter months!

Crankbrothers HV Hand Pump

$49.99

One more very convenient and slick tool - this is a high volume hand pump that unfolds, clicks open, and reveals a flexible hose! The hose clicks into place with a magnet and has a pressure gauge included for quick pressure checks. I love having the screw-on flexible hose so that I can focus on pumping instead of securing the nozzle. And at 130 grams, I hardly notice that I’m carrying it.

We’re so excited to show all these products in store. Come on by during our open hours and say hello!
