Service DEPARTMENT

We have built a full-service center at G&O outfitted especially for handling e-bikes, cargo, and family bikes. 

All of our mechanics are Bosch certified technicians. We can service any Bosch or Shimano electric bicycle.

We are excited to see the e-bike market is growing and more shops are offering e-bike service. As a result, we have dedicated our focus toward developing a specialty for Bosch and Shimano equipped cargo bikes. We are no longer able to offer installation or maintenance of aftermarket electric kits, nor accept routine service on non-electric non-cargo bikes.

If you have service needs for a different kind of bike beyond just a flat, please contact us first by phone or email before requesting an appointment. However, we appreciate your understanding that we do have to redirect most work that involves technology outside of what we are equipped to do, or requires parts that we do not stock.

Each major service begins with an inspection and a thorough quote from a mechanic. We cannot provide specific quotes without seeing the bicycle first. We are dedicated to taking the time required to maintain and repair your bicycle so you and your family can depend on it. Due to the varying scope of work this entails, we cannot guarantee turnaround time, though we can provide a timeline quote for each bike during check in.

If you need something to ride while your bike is in for service, we have a small fleet of courtesy loaner bikes available for scheduled services on bikes you purchased from us, as well as offerings for a discounted flat-rate service rental bike for those that do not qualify for the courtesy loaner program. We are primarily appointment-only for service

We no longer offer drop-in or while-you-wait service, and we can only service non-electric bikes on an extremely limited basis. All service beyond flat fixes requires an appointment, though we are available for drop-in consultations for diagnosis (no guarantee of repair). We understand our turnaround for appointments is longer than is acceptable for many riders, and we are happy to refer to other shops in town if appropriate. We appreciate your interest and patience. We offer service at a variety of scopes to fit you and your e-bike’s needs. We offer four packages, as well as a la carte options and hourly rates. Each major service begins with an inspection and a thorough quote from a mechanic.

Mini / Kids Tune-Up Package ($80)

  • Inspection

  • Basic cleaning of frame, fork, wheels,

  • Drivetrain (wheels not removed)

  • Minor adjustments to brake and shifting (no bleeds)

  • Chain/belt tensioning

  • Complete torque check, including headset

  • Adjustment

  • Update firmware

  • Inflate tires

  • Two test rides, safety check.

No discounts on other labor when paired with this package.

60-day Tune-Up Package ($0)

  • Inspection

  • Warranty support (no charge on labor within first 60 days)

  • Basic cleaning of frame, fork, wheels, drivetrain

  • If required, wheel truing and spoke rebalancing

  • Adjustments to brake and shifting (no bleeds)

  • Chain/belt tensioning

  • Headset Adjust

  • Complete torque check

  • Update firmware

  • Inflate tires

  • Two test rides, safety check.

50% off accessory install/removal/replacement

No other additional labor included or discounted when paired with this package.


Tune-Up Package ($225)

  • Inspection

  • Cleaning of frame, fork, wheels, drivetrain, fender

  • Wheels removed, truing, and bearing adjustments,

  • More comprehensive brake and shift adjustments,

  • Hydraulic brake bleeds

  • Belt tensioning.

  • Labor for replacement of brake pads, rotors

  • Complete torque check

  • Basic (up to 30min) error code investigation

  • Update firmware

  • Inflate tires

  • Two test rides, safety check.

50% off labor charges for parts or accessory install

  • Accessory install/removal/replacement

  • Service parts install/replacement (chain, brake, drivetrain, cable and housing, cockpit components, spoke replacement, electronics cables, computers, batteries, etc)

Additional labor not included or discounted:

  • Additional internal routing, cleaning, drive drop surcharges

  • Wheel builds

  • Any cutting / facing / metalwork labor

  • Suspension overhauls,

  • Internally geared hub services

  • Installation of slime, or tubeless setups

  • QC inspection for bikes purchased elsewhere

  • Hourly debug/diagnosis

Overhaul Package ($500)

  • Includes all tuneup, adjustments and install labor for all mechanical and electrical parts

  • Bearing, IGH, routine suspension services

  • QC inspection for bikes purchased elsewhere

  • Up to two hours of diagnostic labor

50% off labor charges for parts or accessory install

  • Accessory install/removal/replacement

  • Service parts install/replacement (chain, brake, drivetrain, cable and housing, cockpit components, spoke replacement, electronics cables, computers, batteries, etc)

Additional labor not included or discounted: 

  • Wheel builds

  • Any cutting / facing / metalwork labor

  • Internal routing surcharges

  • Installation of slime, or tubeless setup

  • Additional hourly debug/diagnosis (past two hours)

  • Any out-of-house service (Fox service etc)
